About CureGRIN
CureGRIN is a parent-led foundation committed to finding cures and treatments for people affected with GRI Disorders caused by variants in the GRIN1, GRIN2A, GRIN2B, GRIN2D, GRIA1, GRIA2, GRIA3, GRIA4, and GRIK2 genes. We are a 501(c)(3) charity registered in the United States, but our focus is global.
Where do donations go?
This year, 92% of CureGRIN’s expenses are earmarked for research and programs, including $900,000 to answer the “10 Essential Questions.” These questions were identified in our Research Roadmap as critical to finding treatments and cures for GRI Disorder.
Questions include:
- Is a cure possible at any age?
- Can we deliver gene therapies in a way that will correct enough brain cells?
- What are the best drugs for GRI Disorders and their symptoms?
- How do we prove to regulators that new treatments are working so they can be made available as soon as possible?
