Welcome to CureGRIN's Count Me GRIN! Campaign Kickoff!
Thank you for being a GRIN Champion. We are so excited you are participating in our second Count Me GRIN campaign — that will go live November 1st.
Researchers agree that a cure for GRIN Disorder is possible, but WE NEED YOUR HELP! This is where we can all play an active role in our kids’ future. Now, more than ever, we need your help to continue the incredible progress our GRIN Community has made over the past year.
Finding a cure is expensive. This is why we have an aggressive goal to raise $250,000. We are grateful for your support in raising $2,500 from family, friends and other contacts. Don’t worry if you do not actually meet the $2,500 goal. Even to come close is a huge accomplishment. Everything helps bring us closer to finding a cure.
All donations go to research for a cure for GRIN Disorder. Thanks to the generous support from Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s Rare as One program, we are able to ensure that one hundred percent of funds raised during this years’ Count Me GRIN campaign will go directly to priorities through a research strategy we are developing with parents, researchers and clinicians together.
Once registered, you will see a button where you can set up your personalized Count Me GRIN page and you will also receive an email with instructions on how to personalize your Count Me GRIN page with your special GRIN’s picture and story.
“The support we have received from the CureGRIN Foundation will enable us to continue to serve patients, clinicians, and basic scientists by supporting the functional analysis of GRIN variants. This work represents a critical step forward in understanding how to best help GRIN patients and will be important as we eventually move forward towards clinical trials. We are deeply appreciative of the efforts of CureGRIN, the generosity of the donors who make this work possible, and we draw inspiration from the resilience of the GRIN patients and their parents and families. ” Stephen Traynelis, PhD and Director of the Center for Functional Evaluation of Rare Variants
